Marching Band OVerview
All students in KISD participate in marching band as part of the district curriculum. All students are automatically enrolled in the non-varsity band. The non-varsity marching band is designed to help develop musical and marching skills. Students in the non-varsity band combine with the Varsity Band to perform at every football game. Members of the Varsity Band are selected through an adjudication process and compete at both local, UIL and Bands of America events. This adjudication process takes place during the summer months prior to school starting.
The Varsity Band has competitive schedule built around weekend performances.
