FAQs

Normal season

How can I volunteer and stay involved?

Band Parent Association meetings are the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM lasting approximately one hour. Come join us and be a part of the conversation for the kids! Additionally, volunteer opportunities whether it be one time or many, range from chaperoning games / contests, concession stand help, and more! Check out the Boosters tab in Connect/Volunteer to check it out!

When will the band perform at the homecoming game?

All band students will perform the Spirit Show during Pregame and for the Skydancers at halftime.

Where do parents sit during the football games and contests?

Anywhere you prefer! Parents usually sit near the band to watch our students perform in the stands during football games.  We are their biggest fans and enjoy watching them. Wear purple and come ready to cheer!

When does my child attend practices, games and marching contests?

All JV and Varsity schedules are listed in the Weekly Newsletter sent every Friday by Mr. Barnette and laid out in the calendar and the top right tab of the band website.

Can my child eat / drink on the bus or in the stands?

Food is not permitted on district buses, in the stands, or while students are in uniform (exceptions are for medical needs and previously approved by the Director). Students must have a filled water jug for each game (refills available) and will be fed before all football games and marching contests. During out of town contest trips snacks are provided on the bus by the band.

When and where do I pick up my child after games and contests?

The plan for 2021-2022 is to use the Band App.

This method is being phased out: The Remind app is your best friend! A Remind account is set up for each grade level. Updates and bus ETA’s are consistently sent through the app. Pickup location is always at the band parking lot unless otherwise noted.

Where and when can I purchase tickets for football games and contests?

Tickets for games can be purchased on campus during designated days and at the stadium gate. More information regarding football ticket sales can be found at timbercreektalon.com. Contest tickets are sold online and at the stadium.

What does my child need at inspection?

All items needed for inspection are listed in the Weekly Newsletter sent every Friday by Mr. Barnette. Marching uniforms are worn with tall black socks, band shirt, shorts, and shoes.  Students are expected to have all items ready for inspection on time (which means be early).

Who do I ask if I have questions about anything band related?

Your section mentor parent! Each section has a seasoned volunteer to help answer any questions you have. Contact info is listed on the band website in the Boosters tab, Connect/Volunteer. You can also email info@timbercreekband.org with any questions.
