CARLITO CHAVEZ

Carlito Chavez is a passionate music educator and performer in the D/FW area. Carlito grew up in Keller, Texas and was a band member at Parkwood Hill Intermediate School, Hillwood Middle School, and graduated from Keller Central High School in 2014. He holds a Bachelors degree in Music Performance from the University of North Texas where he participated in the Concert Orchestra and 3 o’clock Lab Band. Carlito is also a graduate from Texas Christian University and holds a M.M. in Music Performance and served as the Jazz Graduate Assistant.

Carlito has participated in music festivals around the country including the Summer Trombone Workshop, the Pokorny Low Brass Seminar, the Rafael Mendez Brass Institute, and the National Orchestral Institute and Festival. Carlito has also performed at the International Trombone Festival and the Texas Music Educators Association. The primary teachers of Carlito Chavez include Mr. Tony Corson, Mr. Carl Lundgren, Dr. Natalie Mannix, and Dr. David Begnoche.
